Happy parents say...
When processing skills are good and learning comes easily, happy and relaxed can be a usual state of mind.
Parents want to give their kids every advantage and opportunity, but sometimes the help can skip a step. Many parents make the mistake of thinking only about improving academics to get their kid to the best place of achievement. I believe that is not completely right. While good achievement at academics is important, it is not the only part that needs training. Having the best processing system will not only allow academics to stick better and be at their best, but will allow for better attention, speed, transition skills, and the ability to tolerate distraction and frustration like a pro. All of that adds up to confidence and lots more choices available in the future. It is not just the academics, rather but how fast and efficiently the kids process information and those skills are trainable just like sports. Are they faster than others? Can they handle more pieces of information or tasks at a time? Can they work with noise around them like that noise does not exist? Can they do these things in the real world with people around them and not just on a PC screen? These are the things that get them ahead to stand out in front and attain the best brain they can have and I can help them get there!
...the right processing skills training can make all the difference in the world.
Dr. Sherri doing Distraction Tolerance Training with a child to build his ability to ignore distractions and stay with work without meds. Super important for homeschoolers as they don't always have to work in distracting environments but will face that at some point in their lives.
